Nathan and Hoover

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Nathan and Hoover the dog from the children’s book series The Greenstone Grail. I really just like this because I don’t get to draw characters of colour very often, particularly from children’s fantasy books. Yay!

Done in Photoshop.

Downtown Eastside

Wednesday, July 29th, 2009

I noticed the sidewalks on Main St during one rainy autumn Culture Crawl and it struck me how pretty it really was. It was the Downtown Eastside where gum and McDonald’s wrappings prevail, but I suppose all the artsy inspiration from the Crawl made me feel artsy too. So, here it is: sidewalk, DTES-style.

Painted in Photoshop.

Created for the Vancouver Satsangh Cultural Society. I liked the purple, but I think the blue went better with the website in the end. Created in Illustrator.
